Dr. Joshua Neumiller is an Allen I. White Distinguished Associate Professor and the Vice Chair of the Department of Pharmacotherapy at Washington State University. He is also the President-Elect of Health Care & Education at the American Diabetes Association, where he uses his expertise to influence standards of care for people living with diabetes around the world.

Marc-Aurel Martial is a dedicated public and global health nurse scientist, entrepreneur, educator, and philanthropist. His expertise spans various healthcare fields, allowing him to make a lasting impact on vulnerable communities. He is the founder and Board of Trustees Chair of the Haiti Health Initiative, which seeks to “improve the overall health and well-being of rural Haitians, one community at a time.” He is now excitedly sharing his public health experience with Heroic Diabetes.standards of care for people living with diabetes around the world. Through sustainable and culturally appropriate initiatives, he focuses on improving the health and well-being of underserved populations. By addressing social determinants of health, he ensures his work fosters meaningful and long-term change in public health.

Mark Heyman is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the mental health aspects of living with Type 1 diabetes. His work focuses on helping individuals manage the emotional and psychological challenges that often accompany the condition. He is dedicated to ensuring that people with Type 1 diabetes have the mental health support they need to lead active, fulfilling lives without letting the disease hold them back. Through his efforts, he has made significant progress in making mental health resources more accessible to everyone living with Type 1 diabetes.
